I can't believe our baby girl is already 2 months old. The time has flown by so quickly. I go back to work in 14 1/2 school days and am not sure I'm really ready. After visiting the daycare we had chosen less than a week ago, one more time to turn in paperwork I got a sick to my stomach feeling and came home to announce that we were not sending our daughter to daycare. We had two choices, I could quit my job, or we could hire a nanny. After much debate we opted on the nanny option and have been searching, and doing phone interviews all week. Tomorrow we will have our first three interviews and I'm so excited. Making this decision is making it a bit easier to think about going back to work because I know my girl will be getting the one on one attention she deserves. I am so thankful that she will only need care a few days a week and have started trying to prepare Matt for staying home with her alone the other days. It is a new experience for him, but he will do great and I think he will really come to enjoy his alone time with her as I do! The next three weeks will be filled with me trying to enjoy my baby girl as much as I can and preparing to jump back into teaching. My whole heart will never be in my job, but for now it is the best option for our family. Who knew I would actually WANT to stay home and not work. We will see what next year brings, I just like my lifestyle a lot and am not willing to give that up yet for me or for her, I want her to have all that her heart desires.
2 month stats
Weight: 9 lbs. 12 oz. 75%
Height: 22 inches 90%
Head Circumference: 38 cm 90%
She smiles now, coos and is awake a lot more during the day!
She also sleeps 4-5 hour stretches at night and drinks from a bottle occassionally
Her very favorite activity in the whole world is to bounce in the bouncy seat! That thing is a lifesaver.
This month has brought a lot of fun activities including Gymboree (baby gym), A bradley reunion party (childbirth class), and Halloween. We have taken so many cute pictures I just have to share! In this moment at this time I'm so happy to have good friends, good food, and a beautiful healthy baby girl to share the holidays with!
